Which VR Headset is Right For You?

Virtual Reality is here. Both the Oculus and HTC Vive are available for pre-orders, and support from game manufacturers is only increasing.

But which headset is right for you?

That's a very tough question. Both headsets have their strengths, but they also have their respective weaknesses too. They aren't identical products.

Over at Ars Technica Kyle Orland has a in-depth comparison of the two headsets which looks at everything from comfort to controllers to software support.

Head on over to Ars to check out his comparison. Then let us know on our Facebook page which headset you prefer.

Here's a Guide to GIGABYTE's 3D OSD

Any PC enthusiast knows that information is critically important. Not knowing how your PC is performing is like being blind: without knowing the game's FPS, CPU speed, temperature, RAM speed, etc you don't know if your components are performing at their best.

Thankfully GIGABYTE has a solution: 3D OSD.

3D OSD allows the user to see key information about their system. This information is overlaid on their screen, above whatever program is running in the background. For instance, the user can see if their CPU and GPU temperature spikes when running a demanding game -- a sign that the coolers inside the system aren't working properly.

If you'd like a hands-on look at how 3D OSD works, check out the video below:

SlipperySkip latest build: SkyVue

We've been publishing so much of his work that by now you guys must be pretty familiar with Jeffrey Stephenson, a professional case modder, also known as SlipperySkip. Jeffrey specializes in making elegant and good looking retro style cases for small HTPCs.

And great news, his latest project has just been finished. We here now present you SkyVue!

The specs for his latest creation are quite impressive as well, using simply what the latest technology has to offer.

From The Verge: "His latest is the art deco-inspired SkyVue, which uses mahogany-like sapele wood and aluminum trim to mimic the look of a 1930s skyscraper... If you owned this mod you'd probably start off thinking it was just a good signature piece for your room, and then a week or so later you'd be scouring eBay for an art deco desk, chair, and hatstand to match, all while humming "Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?" "

We couldn't agree more, with such a good looking tower, you definitely need the whole room to match!!
